Dragon Age: Origins

From the creators of Baldurs Gate 1 (1998), Baldurs Gate 2 (2000), Neverwinter Nights (2002) & Star Wars: KoTOR (2003), now comes Dragon Age: Origins or in short (DA:O). Developed by Bioware, it is set to be release on PC, Xbox 360 and the PS3 in Nov 2009.

This is a single player only game and plays similar to Baldurs Gate though it won't be based on Dungeon & Dragons. For those who aren't familiar with Baldurs Gate, it is a PC role-playing game set in a fantasy world base on the Forgotten Realms. In Baldurs Gate, the player creates a character from the start and throughout the course of the game will be able to forge alliances & form a party of up to 6 characters while DA:O will have up to a party of 4 characters. In the same vein as Baldurs Gate, players will be able to issue orders such as attacks and spells to NPCs in real time or while the game is paused.

With award winning games like:

Baldurs Gate - 9.2/10 & 1998 RPG of the Year by Gamespot
Baldurs Gate 2 - 9.2/10 & 2000 RPG of the Year by Gamespot
Neverwinter Nights - 9.2/10 by Gamespot
Star Wars: KotOR - 9.5/10 & 2003 Xbox & PC RPG Game of the Year by IGN
I've been yearning for another "baldurs gate" type game & my hopes are riding high on Bioware's Dragon Age. Hope that it turns out to be as spectacular as their previous endeavors. For more info, check it out at http://dragonage.bioware.com/
